Prepared in Kartavya Bhavan, the budget aligns closely with the idea of Kartavya — duty towards long-term national strength.

Furthermore, the budget 2026 proposed infrastructure development for the future ecological and social resilience

    • industrial corridors,
    • tourism,

Tax and Ease of Living

While infrastructure grabs attention, the budget also included tax reforms

  • New Simplified Income Tax Act
  • TCS and TDS rationalisations for
    • overseas education,
    • travel,
    • manpower supply
  • MAT reforms and foreign investment incentives

Long-term growth requires predictable policies; therefore, there is no change to the tax slabs this year. Also, policy stability aims to make it easier for the common man to understand and file tax returns.
